Applying an e-commerce platform correctly can be the difference between a great tool and an overly complicated system. Between profitable and loss-making. Between growing and simmering. If you have chosen Magento, you have a good tool at your disposal for a profitable company in a growing environment. At least, if you roll it out properly and operate it properly. You will learn how to do this and what you encounter along the way in the e-commerce manager training with Magento.
What is e-commerce?
E-commerce is online selling in and to the business or private market. Think of wholesalers, web shops that only supply to companies or private individuals, web shops that sell themselves and via a marketplace.
Many companies have little or no coherent online strategy and still have a lot to learn and experience. While some have already taken a path, other (wannabe) merchants prefer to wait and see. What is certain is that e-commerce will grow, and so you must enter the online field and continue to improve. After all, the competition does not sit still.
At first glance, all online shops look alike. However, if you look beneath the surface, there are major differences. For example, B2B web shops are often characterized by complex logistics processes and complicated inventory management. Then there are customer-specific pricing strategies, links with CRM and ERP systems and potential channel conflicts with resellers. In B2C web shops, the emphasis is often focused on price-conscious buyers, SEO and SEA are a must, and there is a lot of competition between comparable web shops.
As an e-commerce manager, you are the one who has to think up, implement and maintain it all for your company. And that can be quite overwhelming. And then you also have to be a bit technical: Magento is your weapon of choice. But how do you actually make the platform work for you, instead of having to conform to your platform?
The to-do list that comes with an online store is extensive and is different for every company. You need a way to integrate your business context into your Magento webshop. But where do you start, how do you keep an overview, where do you get inspiration to improve, how do you budget, which parties do you work with?
During this training you will learn how to guide your company through this digital transformation. This could be as an owner, but also as a dedicated e-commerce manager. We will link your strategy and your practice, and after the course you will go home with hands-on knowledge about your Magento platform and you can use that knowledge to use your platform for the objectives of your webshop.

Who is this training intended for?
The training is for entrepreneurs, marketing and e-commerce managers, directors and product owners who work at a (r)etail company that runs or will run a Magento platform.
Do you want to start e-commerce or have you already started and are looking for support to improve the webshop? Could you use some extra help in designing and using your Magento webshop? Then this training is for you.
If you want to follow technical training to become a Magento programmer, this training is less suitable. If you want to go more into daily practice from a technical background, then it is a good fit.
How does the training work?
The training is provided at the Yireo training location in Baarn. With a small group of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 participants, everyone is personally guided in improving their skills.
The training lasts two days, and both days are given in a two-week period.
Before the course starts, there is a one-on-one conversation between trainer and student to discuss personal wishes.
During the training days, the strategic concepts will be reviewed on the first day, including the business model canvas. On the second day there will be focused work on Magento.
